What personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have.

In brief

  • We collect only what is necessary for listings to function: contact details, the listing, payments and technical security information.
  • The advertiser’s phone number is displayed only when someone requests it. Messages reach the advertiser’s email without the sender seeing the advertiser’s email.
  • We do not sell data and do not use advertising cookies.
  • You can view, correct or delete your details at any time.

2. What data we collect

  • Advertisers: name, email, phone, property details, location and photographs, description, and for professionals the office details (name, registration number or GEMI, address, logo).
  • Those communicating with advertisers: name, email, optionally phone and message (for accommodation and stay dates).
  • Reviews: name, email, text, rating and photographs.
  • Payments: amount, package, date and transaction ID. Card details are processed only by Stripe. For SMS payment, the mobile number from the SMS provider.
  • Contact form: name, email, phone, subject, message.
  • Technical: IP address and time of actions, to protect against spam and fraud, and anonymous measurements of views and calls per listing.

3. Why and on what legal basis

  • Posting and managing listings, account, packages: performance of the contract with you (Article 6 para. 1 b GDPR).
  • Forwarding messages to advertisers and answering enquiries: your request and our legitimate interest in the service functioning.
  • Security, fraud prevention, review of listing reports: legitimate interest and our obligations under the Digital Services Regulation.
  • Accounting and tax: legal obligation.
  • Expiry reminders and reports of your listing’s views: performance of the contract. We do not send advertising newsletters.

4. Who sees the data

Your listing, your name and, when someone requests it, your phone number are public. Your email is not displayed. We also use the following processors, under contract and only for the service:

  • hosting and email provider, for website operation,
  • Stripe, for card payments,
  • premium SMS provider, where you pay by SMS,
  • Anthropic (Claude), for automatic translation of listing texts, reviews and offices into Greek or English. Only the text is sent, without contact details,
  • address search service with OpenStreetMap data, via our server, so your IP does not reach the provider.

Maps are displayed with OpenStreetMap tiles, which your browser loads directly. We provide data to authorities only where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Stripe and Anthropic may process data in the USA. Transfers are made under the EU-USA Data Protection Framework, where the provider is certified, or under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep them

  • Listings: as long as they are active and up to 12 months after expiry, so you can renew them. After that they are deleted or anonymised.
  • Account: until you request its deletion.
  • Messages to advertisers: we do not store them, only forward them by email.
  • Contact form and listing reports: up to 2 years.
  • Payments and invoices: as long as tax legislation requires.
  • Technical security files: up to 6 months.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to processing. You can change most details yourself from your account. For anything else, write to info@realestate24.gr and we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

8. Security

The website operates only over HTTPS. Login is via a one-time link to your email, without stored passwords. We restrict access to data to absolutely necessary persons and implement action limits against bots.

9. Minors

Posting listings and payments are allowed only for adults. We do not knowingly collect data of children under 15 years of age.

10. Changes

When the way we process data changes, we update this page and, for substantial changes, notify users with an account by email.
